Privacy & cookies

Short version: this site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no login and no tracking of its own. The parts worth explaining are the advertising and the contact form.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing, until you write to us. The pages you read are plain files — no analytics, no cookies set by this site, no profile built about you.

If you send a message through the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you typed, and use them to reply. Nothing else is done with them and they are not sold or shared.

Advertising

Articles carry a single advertisement, served by Google AdSense. Google may set cookies or read device identifiers to choose which ad to show and to measure whether it was seen. That processing is Google's, under its own policy for partner sites.

Where the law requires a choice — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — Google shows a consent dialog before any of that happens. You can reopen it at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Outside those regions the dialog is not shown, and that link brings you here.

You can also turn off personalised advertising for your Google account at My Ad Center, and clear anything already stored through your browser's cookie settings.

Spam protection

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a script. It sees your IP address and some properties of your browser to make that judgement. Turnstile is used specifically because it does this without profiling you or making you solve puzzles.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes the IP address of each request in order to deliver the page and to defend against attack.
